Diwali Week Celebration

Fragrance in the WIND,

Things look more and more BRIGHTER,

PLEASANT environment,

GIFTS, SWEETS, LIGHTS everywhere

When DIWALI IS IN THE AIR...

We the teachers of M.L. KHANNA DAV PUBLIC SCHOOL, DWARKA from PRE-SCHOOL DEPARTMENT decided to celebrate Diwali with our little angels. It was a real fun together. We planned DIWALI WEEK  with activities like RALLY (voice against crackers), DIYA DECORATION, TORAN MAKING and eventually DIWALI PARTY where  delicious and sumptous food completed our week with warm wishes, greetings, enjoyfully and joyfully.

NANHI UDAAN (Anti Cracker Rally)

Children are the most valuable resources. We at DAV try to bring out the best within them. With the same idea on the occasion of diwali our Kindergarten Wing celebrated the whole week as CELEBRATION WEEK by organizing different activities.
On the first day our each  little participant raised a voice against "SAY NO TO CRACKERS".
In the morning our tiny tods took a round of our school premises holding posters and banners on which different slogans were written and had a walk in form of a rally. They all were excitted and were loudly informing the people about the harm effect of using crackers. They were saying " SAY NO TO CRACKERS" & "ABKI BAARI HARI DIWALI".
In this rally we teachers told children and people about the toxic effects of using crackers and motivated them to reduce the use of crackers.

DIYA DECORATION & TORAN MAKING ACTIVITY

DIYA -  A symbol of LIGHT. A hope which gives glittering effect to our hearts .

TORAN - A beautiful strip use for decorating our houses, workplaces etc.

So, for making this diwali brightening and shinning we engage our shinning stars in "DIYA DECORATION" & TORAN "MAKING ACTIVITIES". On 30th oct, 2013 We the Kindergarten department conducted "Diya Decoration" activity for our students. Small little hands decorated diyas with different colours (like yellow, green, blue), stars, mirrors etc. Those colourful diyas, little fingures dipped with colours, shinning eyes, innocent smiles made the environment so colourful and bright. In this way we enjoyed our day in a wonderful and cheerful way.

Then we proceed further and a day came when our small little creative hands and creative minds made beautiful traditional 'TORANS' on 1st oct, 2013. Different glittering tubes, papers, colourful bindis, stickers, stars, mirrors etc came out with marvellous "TORANS" made by our LKG students. WOW! WOW! WOW!!! Filled the air with this proud and loud voice and made the classrooms RELIGIOUSLY A LEARNING PLACE.

On the last day of the week we conducted a fun filled DIWALI PARTY. Kids brought party snacks and shared with there class mates. The party was very enjoyable.

Eventually, these activities made all our moments of DIWALI cherishable, knowledgeable and unforgetable. We want to share this beautiful experience with you so enjoy the photographs.

Hindi Story Recitation

STORY:
A world of dreams.
A treasure of knowledge.
Growth for children.
Fruit for thought.
Eventually, comes out a GOOD HUMAN BEING WITH GOOD MORAL VALUES.

Keeping this thing in mind, we the Pre-School teachers conducted Hindi Story Competition for little masters  on 24.10.2013. Then from each class we selected the best story tellers and gave them the exposure of stage which enhanced their confidence level of speaking loudly in front  of everyone. Children felt the environment and the stories cheerfully n enjoyfully. This activity not only made the participants confident, but also gave motivation to other children as well to get involve in class/stage activities and learn some moral values.

So, In this way children of pre-school carried lovable memories of wonderful and knowledgeable stories which took them to dreamy world of colourful flowers, butterflies, animals, plants,  and many more natural and marvellous things which would help them to grow in a beautiful manner.

A Pleasurable Picnic

We started our picnic on 19th October i.e. Saturday. Early morning we collected all the things which were required for the picnic and loaded them on the busses and started our journey to the destination "Aapno Ghar-Gurgaon" which is the most loved entertainment spot in Delhi & NCR. It is situated in an idyllic and tranquil location for small escape from the metro city hush-hush life. Aapno Ghar prides itself as an amusement spot with unmatched quality standards, impeccable service, excellent rides and host of modern facilities. All the kids were dressed nicely in school uniform and were so excited. We took attendence and board the bus and kids took their seats. It was about a 1 hour fun filled and comfortable journey. Kids were looking out of the bus and were chatting and eating their snacks. We enjoyed the journey and teachers keep checking if all the kids are fine. We Gear up for an exciting day of fun in the sun at Aapno Ghar Amusement ParkWe reached Aapno Ghar around 10:15 a.m. For undertaking such kind of picnic we have some objectives:

A picnic provided a great rest for the kids where they can be completely free to do what they wished. The trip provided the much sought after relief from our routine life & refreshed out tired nerves. It gives students a temporary relief from their studies.

When we reached the spot, welcome drink and refreshment were distributed among the kids. The new attractions tested the nerves of the kids on the big thrill rides. They waited patiently in queues. With the breeze that chills, the slides that thrill, the sprays that cool, kids pump up the joy.
The park has plenty to please everyone.

All the kids were as happy and excited as they would have a free day to enjoy themselves. They were looking cheerful. Kids were let to play their games. They danced a lot on the music and few of them also won the prizes and certificates. Around 1:30 lunch was served to the kids. They ate the yum puri-chole and salad as they were hungry after the rides.

Later we took the attendence and checked the kids, served chilled ice creams to them and prepared to leave. Kids don't want to return as they were so happy. When we asked about picnic to the kids, they inform us that they liked it very much and asked for more such picnics.

We reached the school around by 4:00. Parents were already there waiting for their kids. One by one kids were handed over to the parents after checking their identity.

It was a wonderful day for the students as well as for the teachers.
