Rakhi making Activity

The festival of Raksha Bandhan signifies the bond of love and protection between brothers and sisters. On the occasion of this holy festival, sisters tie the sacred thread on the wrists of their brothers. The brother, on the other hand takes pledge to protect his sister from all dangers. On the auspicious day of Raksha Bandhan, cards, Rakhis and gifts are exchanged between brothers and sisters. Raksha bandhan was celebrated on 9th of August in the school. The teacher explained the importance of this auspicious day to the kids. The children were enthusiastic to make beautiful rakhis out of the cut outs given to them. They paste those cut outs and used their creativity to make rakhis. They used mirrors, sponge, glitter, stickers and other material to decorate the rakhi and make it more beautiful and colourful. Wishing one another happy Raksha Bandhan, the children dispersed in a joyous mood.
